Do you want to have lunch?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d  You say, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Sure, can I take pictures?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s exactly what happened.  A few weekends ago I had absolutely no plans other than a work nomikai (drinking party) on Friday night, and it looked like my weekend was going to be spent pretending not to be lonely.  Then I made plans to meet a friend to watch the Asian Cup finals.  And then a friend emailed with the kimono invitation.  And then another friend emailed for a hiking \/ onsen \/ dinner adventure.  It turned in to a perfect weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Kaoru-san wanted to practice putting on a kimono.  Apparently, it isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t so easy to do.  I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve never tried it.  I guess it is a waste to practice putting it on without going out in it.  So Kaoru-san and Haru-san invited me to lunch and coffee.  Cool.  We went to Kakuozan for lunch, and then walked up to the Nittaiji temple.  I had never been to Kakuozan, and really enjoyed it.  The street heading up to the temple is full of interesting little shops.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_1.jpg\" alt=\"On the street in Kakuozan\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_2.jpg\" alt=\"Modeling kimono\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We ate at <a href=\"http:\/\/opi-rina.chunichi.co.jp\/gourmet\/20100428info.html\">Zarame Nagoya<\/a>, which is a doughnut shop in Nagoya.  But we had hamburgers.  Really?  Yup.  It is a shame they were sold out of doughnuts, especially for the little girl that marched in and proudly ordered doughnuts, only to learn they were out.  She was NOT happy.<\/p>\n<p>We were quite happy though and enjoyed a nice lunch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_3.jpg\" alt=\"In Zarame\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_4.jpg\" alt=\"Careful!\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_5.jpg\" alt=\"In Zarame\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Although it was cold outside, we walked up to the <a href=\"http:\/\/kikuko.web.infoseek.co.jp\/english\/nittai-ji.html\">Nittaiji temple<\/a> for some pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Kaoru-san.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_6.jpg\" alt=\"Kaoru-san\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Haru-san.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_7.jpg\" alt=\"Haru-san\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Enjoying a good fortune.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.triplefstudio.com\/yokoso\/images\/kz_8.jpg\" alt=\"Perhaps a kimono brought good fortune\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Kaoru-san\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sandals experienced mechanical failures, so she could not walk forwards in them.
