Strasbourg Living
Capturing part of what it is to live in Strasbourg. Or at least tour around Strasbourg a little bit. Its amazing how much of the city I did not see while I was there.

Some Night Shots
Strasbourg is rather lit at night. So to speak. So I got some night pictures.

Bridge Along Ill. 20 July 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. An illuminated bridege along the Ill river.

Detail of Bridge Illumination, Book. 20 July 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. The illumination is of a book, probably to represent Guttenburg (who Strasbourg claims as a native).

Detail of Bridge Illumination, Glasses. 2 July 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. I don't know the significance of this illumination.

Reflections Off the Ill. 20 July 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. Various lights reflect off of the river.

Petite France, Hotel. 2 September 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. A nicely lit area in Petite France.

Petite France, Church. 2 September 2003. Posted 22 September 2003. A church at night in Petite France.

Bastille Day - 14 August 2003
Going out for fireworks on Bastille day.

Ken and Xell, 14 July 2003. Posted 20 July 2003. Pre-fireworks picture of Ken and Xell.

Kuni and Avery, 14 July 2003. Posted 20 July 2003. On the way to the fireworks, we stopped en masse. Kuni and Avery are the action in this photo, with Peter looking straight into the lens.

Ken, with strange digital effects, 14 July 2003. Posted 20 July 2003. OK, not a great photo, but funky in the way the camera chose to expose the frame.

Fireworks, Bastille Day, 14 July 2003. Posted 20 July 2003. What’s a fireworks celebration without the attempt to capture the moment?

Strasbourg I, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. Walking along the cathedral to the square in front of the cathedral. This is on our walk to the tram every day.

Strasbourg II, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. You know, your average street in the city center.

Petite France I, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. This is sort of the touristy part of Strasbourg.

Petite France II, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. More of the same.

Petite France III, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. Guess what? Another one!

Charlene, Me, Ken, 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. Me with some friends in the Petite France. I figured I needed to be in a picture or two!

Coffee. 13 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. Avery and Ken having a laugh over coffee.

Lumiere I, 12 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. Light show along the river bank in Strasbourg. There are seven different stations where the show occurs.

Lumiere II, 12 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. More projections from the same station. Note the fountain in front.

Lumiere III, 12 July 2003. Posted 14 July 2003. More projections from the same station.
